To all the people that I loved that I never knew

to all those who influenced my life but that I never met

these days  I'm losing more and more of you

and each time a little part of me dies with you

It's weird to feel love for someone that you've never met

to feel respect and admiration from a distance

It's easier with those who were gone before you were born

but It's harder with those who were your contemporaries

You've loved

the books they wrote

the songs they sang

the roles they played

the movies they made

the examples they set up

the way they changed the world

the way they changed you

the parts they played in your life

It's hard to say goodbye

to the people that we've loved

but we've never met
